Nana's Visit

Nana got to come visit for a few days last week, so here are a few pics of that.
Riding the carousel at the mall. (Don't get to do that with just mom!)
Being silly for Nana! She brings out the best in them! :o) Just a pic of us at dinner...Camdyn actually took this picture! Pretty good! At dinner we actually got dessert (which we never do) and Silas was super excited while he was eating his ice cream! Too funny! We had such a great visit with Nana and can't wait for her next visit! Our computer is freaking out again, but I'll try to post again as soon as I can!

Fun in Topeka

This weekend we went to Topeka for a few days. Matt spent all day Saturday in Manhattan for the KState/KU game and GameDay. The kids and I were in Topeka and had fun with some friends.
Jamie and Caeden came over to play for a little while and we had so much fun! We really miss our playdates with them.
Sunday we just hung out at Grandma and papa's, after going to church with them. After nap we got to eat some yummy dessert before we hit the road. Camdyn was so happy eating her brownie. I think she gets prettier every day!
Silas woke up in a fabulous mood and was just hamming it up while he ate his chocolate pie. He was hilarious.
Just a picture of my big, little boy. It's not the best pic of him, but he just looked so darn big!
Family pic...just disregard the mommy and it's super cute! :o)

The Recipe

Here is the much anticipated Peanut Butter Playdough recipe. It's super easy. I don't know if this is the one grandma used, but it smelled and looked the same!
1 part peanut butter 1 part nonfat dry milk 1 Tbsp. honey per cup Mix pb and milk together and then add honey.
I did one cup each of the first two and then just one Tbsp. of honey. I added a little more milk in the end to make it dry enough to play with. This made just enough for my two kids to have plenty to play with and eat! Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Playdough

Today the kids and I stayed home all day, so I wanted to do something fun with them. I always remember playing with peanut butter playdough at Grandma Will's house. We would spend so much time there during the summers and she would make it for us. We would sit at the orange bar in the kitchen or at the kitchen table and play forever! We would eat as much as we played, but that was the plus of playing with it.
My kids didn't play with it for that long, but they did love it. I think Silas' playdough was gone by half by the time we were done.
Camdyn enjoyed eating it too, as you can plainly see for yourself! I'm sure we'll end up playing with this fun stuff again soon!

Not too Exciting

I've had lots of people asking me for pics of our new house and I've just been lazy and haven't taken pics and put them on here (mainly b/c it feels weird). So here they are:
Living Room 1
Living Room 2
Kitchen 1
Kitchen 2...Sorry for the boring post...but for those of you who wanted to see them, I hope you enjoyed!

Just Another Day

Silas and Camdyn got a fun package in the mail from Nana and Papaw the other day. They were both so excited to open their presents, it was great!
Silas has really figured out what it means to open presents. He did it all by himself.
Camdyn was so excited about her new Minnie shirt. She wanted to wear it immediately, but I made her wait until the next day.
She also got a new "Dress up Minnie Mouse," as we call them. She has not stopped playing with this silly toy, she just loves it!
Silas got a new pair of Teva sandals and he loved them too. It's so funny to me how much a 17 month old can love shoes. He wanted to put them on right away. (He looked like Papaw with his socks on!)
Silas also got a new pair of Handy Manny pj's. The girls have never liked Handy Manny, but Silas really does, so it's a new thing at our house. He kept looking down at his belly and pointing to all of the tools. Also, notice his new big boy hair cut (you can tell the difference if you look at the first pic)...he looks so darn cute!

Lots of Visitors

This weekend has been super busy, but super fun! It started Friday with Anna coming to visit. The kids were SO excited when she got here, it was great!
We hung out with her all day and I, of course, forgot to take any pictures. Anna, however, took a pic of me with the kiddos after bath and right before bed. They were both being super cuddly! It was great!
Saturday afternoon and evening, Uncle Dan, Aunt Kiko, and Mya all came to see our new house and hang out with us! We had so much fun just talking and letting the kids play. I, of course, didn't take many pics this time either. Here is the only pic of Silas and Mya sharing a snack! Sunday, we had more fun visitors. Grandma and Papa came after naptime and were able to stay all night. The kids were in heaven. Last night we stayed home and just hung out, but today we went out and had some fun. First, we went to lunch at TGIFridays. It was super yummy! (We thought of you Nana.) Camdyn loved having Grandma and Papa to play with. You can tell how happy she is in this pic! After lunch we went to the mall and played on the fun toys! The kids weren't really into it for some reason, but had fun for a while. THere is also a carousel at the mall and they got to ride on that for the first time. Camdyn was super excited about it and I think Silas could've done without! Riding the carousel with Daddy! She had decided before we even got there that she was going to ride a white horse and name it Princess. Too funny! Here are just a few cute pics of the kids from the weekend. Silas sportin' the cool shades! Hugging each other! They have been playing so well together lately, it's been so great! I know it won't last forever, but I am lovin' right now!
